Writing Tutors
COM’s writing tutors are located in the Tutoring Center, Industrial Careers Building - Room 109. Writing tutors offer one-on-one tutoring sessions for students on any phase of the writing, reading, and oral presentation process. Tutors are able to assist students face-to-face, online or via eTutoring sessions during the Tutoring Center's operating hours. There are two study rooms available to record speeches or practice mock interviews. Although students may walk-in for help or quick questions, they are encouraged to make an appointment. Students can make appointments online, by phone, or in person. Math/Science Tutors
COM’s math and science tutors are currently located in the Tutoring Center, Industrial Careers Building - Room 109. Math tutors provide free walk-in and appointment based tutoring services. Most math tutors are able to help with the math courses offered at COM, but not all of them tutor every COM math course. Science tutoring is subject to availability. If a science tutor is available for your course, this service is available on a walk-in basis.
Appointments are not required to work with a math or science tutor face-to-face, but appointment slots are available.* For tutoring with an online COM math or science tutor, an appointment is required. Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders
SI Leaders are COM students who have successfully completed the class in which they are assigned. SI Leaders have proven that they have mastered the course material and are willing to share their study skills with students currently enrolled in the course. SI Leaders schedule review sessions outside of regularly scheduled class times to best meet the needs of the students. If you have questions about our current SI Leaders or are interested in becoming a SI Leader, please stop by the Tutoring Center or email tutoringcenter@com.edu for more information.
Online Tutoring
COM offers online tutoring with COM tutors through WCONLINE during normal business hours, based on availability. Please go to https://com.mywconline.com/ to view the current schedule and make an appointment with a COM tutor.
